Khai Island

• Pier: The most commonly used ones are Rassada Pier, Ao Po Grand Marina, and Chalong Pier in Phuket. In Krabi, you can take a boat from Pakbara Pier.
• By Boat: The most common way to get to Khai Island is by boat. You can take a boat from either Phuket or Phang Nga. The journey from the pier to Khai Island takes about 15 minutes. There are various tour packages available, with prices starting from 599 to 790 Baht.
• By Yacht: If you prefer a more luxurious journey, you can also charter a yacht to Khai Island. However, this option would be more expensive.

The island was originally called “เกาะไข่ใน”, which is part of the Khai Islands group, consisting of three islands: Khai Nai, Khai Nok, and Khai Nui. The name “Khai” (which means “egg” in Thai) is believed to have originated from the fact that sea turtles used to come to the island to lay their eggs. Over time, locals started referring to the island as “Khai Island”.
