Bangkok’s Icon Siam: A world-class shopping and cultural destination

Icon Siam is situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in the Thonburi district of Bangkok, an area known for its quieter ambiance compared to the bustling city center.

• Subway: Take the subway from MRT Sukhumvit to MRT Hua Lamphong. The journey takes approximately 14 minutes and tickets cost around ฿24 – ฿35.
• Night Bus: Alternatively, you can take the line 40 night bus from Sukhumvit Soi 12, Robinson to Wat Thaimit. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and tickets cost around ฿10 – ฿30.
• Taxi: If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Asok BTS Station to Icon Siam Pier. The distance is approximately 7.3 km and the fare is around ฿100 – ฿120.

The Chao Phraya Express Boat (Orange Flag) operates from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that the public boat schedule is subject to change, so it’s recommended to check before travel.

Several hotels offer boat services to ICONSIAM, including The Siam Hotel, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel, The Peninsula Bangkok, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Baan Chao Praya, and Banyan Tree Residences. Please check the boat schedule at the hotel.

There are shuttle boats available from Sathorn Pier and Si Phraya Pier to ICONSIAM. They operate every day from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The fare is THB 10 per trip/person.

Icon Siam, stylized as ICONSIAM, is a mixed-use development on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. It includes a large shopping mall, which opened to the public on 9 November 2018, as well as hotels and residences. The ICONIC Multimedia Water Features is one of the key attractions at ICONSIAM, offering visitors a mesmerizing display of water, light, and sound.

• Show Concept: The show combines water, light, color, sound, and multimedia, creating a spectacle along a 400-meter stretch of the Chao Phraya River. It harmoniously blends Thai culture and traditions.
• Technology: The show uses cutting-edge compress air technology that projects water into the air, creating striking 2D, 3D, and 4D simulations. Cybernetic technology is used to conjure up a magnificent water curtain, complete with soothing tunes of Thai instruments.
• Water Jets: The water jets can shoot up to 35 meters high. The water is projected at varying heights, with the tallest being as high as 35 meters.
• Show Times: The ICONIC Multimedia Water Features show is open for viewing daily at 07:00 PM, 08:00 PM, and 09:00 PM.
